The Texas Telephone by Poynter Products is an amazing gag/prop: about 20 inches long, the receiver can be opened and an actual telephone receiver placed inside. It does hang up the phone when placed on the cradle. No item number, the item is dated 1969.
Other Poynter Products novelties in my collection: The Crushing Beer Can, The Great American Con Machine, The Little Black Box and The Post Mistress. The most famous toy from Poynter is Uncle Fester's Light Bulb, a toy I'll likely never afford.
