I've started selling some of my toys & collectibles. As both an eBay Partner and Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. |
Very rare Atomic Energy Lab from the American Basic Science Club is almost never seen. Available as Kit #8 (see last picture) in the later years of the kit-a-month club, the Atomic Energy Lab was also released in this stand-alone configuration. My kit is near complete missing only a few pieces. The box was in need of some help so I straightened and strengthened the top by gluing another piece of cardboard on the inside. The third picture below shows the two radioactive sources: a bag of Uranium Ore and an Alpha source which is supposed to be a drop of Radium Paint on the pinhead. The radium paint fell off the pin at some point in the kit's life. The kit is number 19 3001 and while there is no date on the box, the instruction booklet is copyright 1959. Thanks to Ira W. for selling me this kit at a reasonable price. The last picture is of an unused Kit #8 that I once owned. It has the atomic energy parts of the stand alone kit not including the metal light projector, tubes, lenses, etc. that came in kits #5 & #6.
