Helen - Past Shows |

Helen played
The Launchpad's birthday show on
Satarday, May 18th. We played for 4 people in the crowd and I didn't have a bass
so Joe Anderson let me use his bass (my dream bass, a Sting Ray). There were some
damn-good hambugers.

Helen played at the Outpost Performing Space on Fri. May 3rd with An August
Mourning, Firehydrant, and The outpost Jazz All Stars. The show was amazing. The
Outpost is such a nice place to play at. If we play there again, you should try to
make it.

Helen played with Leftover Crack at Insomnia Coffee House on the 24th of April.
This show was more of a practice for the eight people who watched us, but hey,
we had a great time.

The Mud Fence Records comp CD
Release Party on April 18th was awesome. It was at
The Launchpad.
The bands that played were Mistletoe,
Mosquito To Moscow,
The Big Spank,
My Empty Day, Helen, and
QTA. This was probably the best
show that we've played! Check out the
pics

On Wed. 17 of April Helen played at Manzano High School to help raise money for a
scholarship the faculty give to two students a year. It was definitely an interesting
show with all of the technical difficulties but we had a great time playing for
yet another lunch show at MHS.

|
We played
Warehouse 21
on the 12th of April. Alex from Don't Shoot Noah (another one of Ish's old bands)
played a short and sweet acoustic set. Sorry we don't have any pics.

|
We played
Warehouse 21
on Sat. March 9th with Frank Jordan from Sacramento, CA. Two other bands were supposed
to play but they didn't show. It was a fun show over all, especially with the huge
chair and the weird, dancing kid. Check out the
pics,
you'll under stand.

The benefit show on Sat. Feb. 23 at Insomnia Coffee house was a huge success. It
was a benefit show for National Center for Missing & Exploited Children
(NCMEC) .
We played with Hit by the Bus, Foma, and Feels Like Sunday. Thanks to the guys in
Hit by the Bus for letting us use their PA, it sounded great.

The Tsunami Bomb show on
Tues. Feb 19 was bad ass. It was at the
The Launchpad and it was our first
all ages show we've played there. We played with
My Empty Day and None of the Above.

|
We set up and played a show on Fri. Feb. 8th at Insomnia Coffee House with
Mosquito To Moscow
, Poindexter, and
Plan 9
. Everyone was so incredible. If you

Helen played Insurgo
with Colorado's
Tip The Milkman
and My Empty Day on January 16th, 2002. Tip
The Milkman was an awesome band and some pretty cool guys.

The Emily Shrine show
on Thursday, January 10, 2002 that we played at the
Launchpad
was a lot of fun. We were offered a round of drinks by one of the seven people
there. The Emily Shrine was awesome, they even came to a very early
breakfast at the Frontier before their long drive back to Chicago.

The Manzano High School, "Battle of the Bands" on
Thursday, December 6, 2001 was a huge success. We had a great time playing for

The Raticals. They got 3rd place. Thanks to anyone who came out.
