I've started selling some of my toys & collectibles.
See my eBay Store (#Ad) for current listings. Thanks, Sam

Unbelievably, I had this toy as a kid and remember it so well. A Sears Wishbook exclusive, the Field Helicopter backpack made helicopter sounds, flashed red and blue lights, had two speeds and a transmission lever to engage the rotor. My latest version shown here is missing the shaft and rotor. I hope to fashion a rotor sometime.

There is no date or number on the toy but I have seen it in a copy of the 1967 Sears Wishbook. I believe it was available from 1967 to 1969.

This is a picture of a complete Field Helicopter from the book Toy Bop (#Ad), by Tom Frey. If only mine looked this good. This picture will be invaluable if I ever get around to trying to fabricate a rotor for my copter.

Here is a short video of my copy of the toy in action.
